Today has been presented in Fitur during a ceremony attended by Carlos Chaguaceda, Director General of Tourism of the Community of Madrid.
The GolfMadrid Platform gives his first stroke on the tee of one. Its mission is to enhance the promotion of golf as a product more attractive tourist offer of our Community. This platform, supported by the Tourism Association of Madrid, the Federation of Golf of Madrid and the Association of Golf Courses of Madrid, will be the main way to spread opportunities to practice this sport in the fields of the region, facilitating collaboration with the set of services related to golf tourism and other related institutions, whether public or private.
In addition to promoting the competitive advantages of Madrid in their golf offer, the platform will be responsible for enhancing collaboration between all actors wishing to participate in improving the offer; to this end, it has contacted all fields and golf clubs in Madrid in order to establish the conditions for participation of them in this project, which currently brings together sixteen others can join at any time.
Clubs that have already joined the platform, which will undoubtedly benefit the associated with this sport in the region, industry are: Casino Club de Golf Retamares, Center for Modernization of the Golf Federation of Madrid, National Center Golf, Club de Campo Villa de Madrid, Club de Golf Aranjuez, Club de Golf El Robledal, Club de Golf La Dehesa, Club de Golf Lomas-Bosque Golf Club Negralejo, Club de Golf Olivar de la Hinojosa Golf Club RACE , El Encino Golf Hotel, Golf Santander, Golf Somosaguas, Nuevo Club de Golf de Madrid and Real Club de Golf La Herrería.
The Central Reservation that was presented last March driven by the Tourism Association of Madrid, whose exploitation ceded to the Federation of Madrid Golf in order to set it up next to the fields, will be updated and adapted for operation from www.golfmadrid.org

Golf clubs and Madrid have hosted major tournaments in which participating players like Gary Player, Seve Ballesteros, Bernhard Langer, Nick Faldo … or the US Ryder Cup captain Davis Love III, who won the World Cup in Madrid with Fred Couples; in addition to famous designers such as Jack Nicklaus, Jose Mari Olazabal, Robert von Hagge or Javier Arana.
